Where has the summer gone? I have been dealing with parental health issues for most of the last two months and feeling like I totally missed the summer. Part of that is due to the fact that it's been the 7th rainiest summer in Portland history - over 20 inches of rain in June, July and August. Add to that a couple of trips back and forth to Pittsburgh and the summer has just flown by. Classes are getting ready to start up again on the 8th and I hate to see that happen.
I have made some stitching progress this summer which is a good thing. I have managed to complete the third panel of my Alexandre SAL project which is pictured above. I have started the last panel and am looking forward to completing it soon. I also participated in a color exchange but I will save that for another post.
I hope you have enjoyed the summer and that we will have a nice Indian summer here in Maine.

Why did I not link you and Casa Pearl? I have a link to your blog on my blog but still didn't link it in my head. Dumb, I know. Love your third panel. I really want to do this piece, but I don't have a lot of practice with the over one. (Thats why I am practicing.) Your panel is gorgeous! thanks for the comment on my blog too.

Hi Patti,
So good to hear you are getting through the Summer. Hopefully your parents health issues have stabilzed. I miss Pittsburgh sometimes. Such a simple life there compared to DC. Take care and good luck with your classes.

Parental health issues - I'm with you there. I'm sorry you're going through it and I do hope things will be happily resolved on that issue before we get too far into the autumn. You take care, and soak up any last rays of sun that sneak out!
Your stitching looks lovely. I'm happy to see you back in Blogland. Sorry you're having issues with your parents. Hope we can get together soon.....Nancy
You're making such great progress on this. I love watching it. And for some reason it doesn't seem like we've had a summer at all - it's gone by in a flash!
I do hope that your parental health issues are calming down. Lovely stitching!
Wow - that's some rain!
Your SAL alexandre is looking lovely - I would like to do this one 'one day'!
Oh, I kn ow what you mean. Ihope your parents' health has improved. And I hope that classes are not too strenuous so that you find the time to stitch, every now and then at least.
