This weekend was an International Hermit Stitching Weekend and although I did not formally sign up, I did manage to get some stitching time in this weekend.
I started off the weekend with Ann Sandles and here's what it looked like before I put some time into it:
And where I finished up last night. This is the first time in quite a while where I devoted some focused time to Ann. I'm not totally happy with my fabric choice - the color not the 40 ct. I think I should have gone with a lighter, less yellowy color but the fabric does give it a more aged, samplery kind of look.
And I finally gave in to the urge to start something new. I've had this kitted up since last summer but just never started it and I wanted something that was totally different from what I've been working on.
The muted colors of Ann and CHS Christmas and all the blue of HAED Story Keeper were starting to make me lose my interest and this PS piece is a great contrast. It's PS All Hallow's Eve and I love it so far.
Hope you got a lot of stitching in this weekend. I'm looking forward to next month's IHSW!

Anne is looking very good. I just love the PS Halloween charts. I'm trying to resist starting Halloween till at least August. I have so many projects to do including a birth sampler for my little Granddaughter who is due on June6.
I like both your new starts! Ann is very pretty and PS charts are always a winner!
Great progress. I am a big fan of PS. I feel like I am "squirreling" so bad I can't get stitching done on one with out thinking about wanting to work on another piece. Have to finish my baby gift, baby due to arrive May 31st; slow and steady on HRH and I just could not help myself to start the Spanish sampler. And try to balance that with yard time as it will only be around for a few months.
Great progress on your WIP. I see that your needle wandered away from the border into the design.
Oh my, a PS start. PS is always good, at least for me, I can always stitch on one and never get tired of it.
