Imperceptible Progress

Today, I finished my first sock so I was able to spend some time stitching. I picked up my HAED Storey Keeper which has been pretty neglected lately. I finished two 10 by 10 squares down the left hand side but it's pretty hard to see that I made any progress! There were tons of color changes in these two blocks so progress was very, very slow. But any progress is worth celebrating.

I also got my first instructions for the SBEBB Melanie's exchange. This is a really interesting and different exchange. You send floss and and some sort of embellishment to one stitcher and that person stitches something for another stitcher using the floss and embellishments. Today I got my notification of the color preferences for the person who will receive the stitched result and the instructions of who I am to send my thread and embellishment to. I have already decided the floss but I think I will need to make a trip to an LNS for the embellishment part. I have some possible choices but I wasn't wowed by anything. Maybe I will search a bit online and try that.

I haven't done any HAED yet, but have stitched pieces very similar. 200 stitches with multiple colour changes is a large progress indeed. Keep up the good work.

I reckon on 200 stitches a day for my HAEDs, so I reckon that's good progress too! Sometimes the blocks have less changes in them and it goes faster. Don't worry - it'll grow :)

I tip my hat to you for undertaking a HAED design - they are so gorgeous, but so intense!! Keep up the great work.

Wow, congrats on your HAED progress - with these designs I figure any progress is good progress ;) I love to see them stitched, but don't think I'd have the patience to stitch one myself ... I've been avoiding their website on purpose just in case I find something I absolutely can't live without haha.
