Here is another progress picture of my needleroll. I've completed the rice stitch down the right hand side and am heading across the bottom to the left side. I really like this stitch - it's easy to do and I just love the texture. This is done using Anchor #12 perle cotton but I'm going to experiment with some of my other threads to see how it looks with different types, cotton, silk and over dyed.

It looks so different when this rice stitch is on. Nice Nice :) Eager to see the end result!
The rice stitch is really bringing out the colour in the block. Really nice looking. Can't wait to see what it's going to look like with the border completed.
You can really see the different textures in that one. I really like the design :)
I love the texture of rice stitch too. It's such an easy and relaxing stitch.
